Got it covered

Most of us do judge a book by its cover. However good what’s inside may be, it’s the cover that makes a connection. It’s true for ‘real’ books, and for e-books. An e-book’s thumbnail image has to do a lot to catch the casually-scrolling eye.
When we started working with Clynfyw CIC on their Care Farming for Beginners: The ‘how to’ handbook there was already the best part of manuscript, but everything to do to make it into a book.
Now published, it’s selling well. Which has lots to do with the quality of the writing, and the value of what it has to so say. But I reckon that what gets it noticed is the great cover image by Tinman Photography.
The brief was to say something to the prospective reader about what care farming is all about. In a nutshell, care farms provide care for vulnerable people in a farming setting. People who use a care farm feel healthier and happier because they are in contact with nature, enjoy social interaction, and get involved in work that has meaning.
That cover image has nature, it has social interaction, and has a group of people coming back from work. Good job.
Find out more about care farming, and the book, at Clynfyw’s website.
