On most sunny Sunday mornings I wake up to the scream of a hard-pressed strimmer. My neighbour likes to get up early, and likes to keep his garden under strict control.
By mid-morning other neighbours usually join in. Mowers, strimmers and hedge trimmers compete to drown out every other sound. But does it have to be like this?
